The US Internet Green Plant Startup The Sill has just completed a $5 million grant from Raine Ventures, bringing its total financing to $7.5 million.
 
The Sill was founded in 2012 by Eliza Blank and served as CEO. The company's focus on green plant Internet direct marketing simplifies the process of selecting and purchasing indoor plants by providing consumers with advice on which types of plants are best suited to their living environment.
 
The Sill's merchandise ranges from $6 to $60 and includes a variety of plants for delivery. To date, the company has sold nearly 100,000 plants and is expected to achieve annual sales of nearly $5 million this year, with sales in 2017 of $1.7 million.
 
 
Founder Eliza Blank said: “This is the way we are doing gardening for young people. We are reshaping the new meaning of plants for young people under 40.”
 
The Sill invites customers to join their Plant Care Club for a $35 monthly membership fee and participate in offline seminars and online seminars to guide them on how to care for new plants.
 
At the same time, the rich and varied plant-related themes on Instagram and Pinterest social platforms have also inspired consumers to buy. The Sill has more than 282,000 fans on Instagram.
