Xiaomi Try to R&D Smart Trash Can, Just Another Test Piece?

On July 31, Xiaomi raised a new smart trash can called Tuo Niu. The crowdfunding price was 199 yuan. It is reported that this product is not a product of Mijia, but a product developed by Shanghai Tuo Niu Intelligent Technology crowd through the Mijia platform.

Since Xiaomi’s IPO on the Hong Kong, China Stock Exchange on July 9, the outside eyes have been on the stock of Xiaomi. One month after the IPO, Xiaomi, known as the “first stock of young people”, suffered a roller coaster-like market. From the opening, it suffered a break of HK$16/share, and then rushed to HK$22.2/share. Back to the issue price and broke again, Xiaomi and Lei Jun fell into the vortex of stocks.

Xiaomi founder Lei Jun and his team recently launched a number of heavyweight products, such as Xiaomi released Xiaomi MAX3 on July 19 and Xiaomi released Mijia Internet Air Conditioner on July 23.

Several characteristics of this smart trash can:

1. Need to be charged
2. With sensor open cover
3. Can automatically seal the bag

Earlier, BigBelly Solar in the United States invented a smart trash can, which not only made the trash can be intelligent, but also increased the capacity of the trash can by 5 times in the same volume!

It is reported that BigBelly's trash can integrates solar energy, Internet of Things and high-efficiency compressors. The main working principle is to first supply power to the trash can through the top of the trash can. When the garbage is almost full, the compressor will compress the volume of the garbage within 40 seconds. Up to one-fifth of the original, when the garbage bin is almost full, it will automatically send information such as the fullness of the trash can and the geographical location to the garbage disposal center. The processing center's system then analyzes the data sent back from each bin and then plans the best recycling route and time, and then dispatches the vehicle to clean up the garbage.

Therefore, this millet will use Tuo Niu to test the smart trash can, which will not bring much surprise to Xiaomi. It is just a test item. But for Xiaomi to build the IOT intelligent ecology, this test is also necessary, even though Knowing the failure can at least give Xiaomi more experience in the process of building an IOT smart ecosystem.
