According to the data of the furniture branch of China Chamber of Commerce for Import and Export of Light Industrial Products and Arts-Crafts (CCCLA), the export amount of Chinese furniture was USD 40.9 billion, with a year-on-year growth of 4.56% from Jan to Oct. The export quantity was 2.633 billion (piece/kg), with a year-on-year growth of 10.47%. The average unit price was USD 15.52, with a year-on-year decrease of 5.58%.
The United States has always been the largest export market of Chinese furniture. From Jan to Oct., China exported USD 15 billion to the US, accounting for 36.61% of Total export of Chinese furniture, with a year-on-year increase of 13.09%.
Japan is the second largest export market of China's furniture, with an export amount of USD 2.4 billion, accounting for 5.75% of the total export of China's furniture, with a year-on-year increase of 2.68%.
England is the third largest export market of China's furniture, with an export amount of USD 2.0 billion, accounting for 4.95% of the total export of China's furniture, with a year-on-year decline of 0.17%.
The fourth to tenth export countries are Australia, Germany, South Korea, Canada, Singapore and France respectively, with export amount of USD 1.6 billion, USD 1.5 billion, USD 1.3 billion, USD 1.3 billion, USD 900 million and USD 900 million respectively.
Besides, from Jan to Oct., China exported furniture by USD 8 billion to EU market, accounting for 19.46% of total export of Chinese furniture, with a year-on-year increase of 6.24%.
From Jan to Oct., the main export provinces of Chinese furniture were Guangdong, Zhejiang, Jiangsu, Fujian and Shanghai. From the category of exported furniture, wooden furniture and metal furniture are still the main body. The categories mainly include wooden furniture, metal furniture, frame furniture, soft furniture, plastic furniture, glass furniture, bamboo & rattan furniture and furniture parts.
From Jan to Oct., the general trade export of Chinese furniture was USD 33.1 billion, accounting for 80.96% of the total export of Chinese furniture, with a year-on-year increase of 5.02%. The export of processing trade was USD 4.6 billion, accounting for 11.27% of the total export of Chinese furniture, with a year-on-year increase of 3.75%. Furniture exports represented favorable scale and benefit.
