LAS VEGAS – United Furniture Inds., which has expanded its showroom space at almost every market it attends for the past two years, is continuing that pace at this month’s Las Vegas Market, where the company will unveil a 12,866-square-foot addition to its showroom.

According to the company, the expansion was necessary to support its growing case goods categories of Simmons bedrooms, casual dining, youth, entertainment and occasional tables. United now has more than 34,000 square feet t of space offering 10 categories of Simmons upholstery and case goods focused for the everyday home in Building B, floor 13.

The expansion in Las Vegas follows a 30,000-square-foot expansion to the company’s High Point Space at the recent April market and a 6,000-square-foot expansion at Tupelo Market earlier this year. The Tupelo expansion in February followed the company’s return to that market last summer where it used the occasion to debut its case goods line.

"The company is evolving rapidly to be much more than just an upholstery resource,” said Jay S. Quimby, executive vice president of sales. “Many of our customers challenged us to go into new categories and become a complete furnishings resource for the home. All the showroom expansions are to support all the new categories."

At the Vegas Market this month United will introduce a new Sleeper "Simmons Hide-abed" collection with three twin/full/ queen collections merchandised with $599 retail queen sleepers and coordinating accent chairs, recliners, love seats and chair 1/2 chairs.

The company will also have major introductions in its Beautyrest stationary program at $499 and $599, as well as introductions to its Beautyrest motion program.

“We will also have extreme value $399 stationary introductions,” said Quimby, adding, “All of these categories and product now available to ship together on one truck from our North Carolina and Mississippi facilities.”
