Online registration has opened for Heimtextil’s fifth annual competition for young designers, interior architects and interior decorators.
The Young Creations Award: Upcycling is accepting entries from students and graduates of design, interior architecture and related courses of study at European universities. Master students and young master craftspeople in the field of interior decoration can also enter the competition, which has two categories, Upcycling Object and Room Concept.
“Upcycling not only saves resources and money but is also chic and stands for sustainable design in tune with the times,” said Heimtextil director Sabine Scharrer.
The award is supported by the German Interior Decoration and Furnishing Association and carries prize money of more than €7,000.
Selected entries will be shown at a special exhibition in Hall 4.2 during 2017 edition of Heimtextil, which takes place Jan. 10-13.
