NEW YORK — After picking up big support on Kickstarter, The Edge Desk — an all-in-one chair, desk and easel— is now available on Indigogo’s InDemand.

Response to The Edge during its debut on Kickstarter saw the campaign exceed the $165,000 goal in the first week, going on to generate more than $400,000 in support from more than 27 countries and more than 1,200 backers.

The Edge Desk is designed for small spaces ranging from urban apartments, college dorm rooms and shared office spaces to art studios and even the outdoors. It is lightweight, fully adjustable, comes fully assembled, sets up in less than 30-seconds and folds down to just six inches for easy storage without any tools.

Ergonomically designed like a massage chair with kneeling pads in place to take pressure off the user’s back while displacing the strenuous weight of sitting all day, The Edge aims to offer focused productivity, comfort and flexibility all in one.

“Young professionals, artists and students deserve flexibility with how and where they work,” said Marc Rosenberg, founder and inventor of The Edge Desk. “Sitting uncomfortably or slouched in a cramped living space or cubicle doesn’t cut it anymore. The Edge is a patented one-piece desk, easel and chair combination that works perfectly with today’s mobile lifestyle, delivering comfort and function on demand.”

By simply rotating the desk from “Landscape” to “Portrait” mode, The Edge transforms into an artist’s easel. The patented “edge” of the desk was created to hold a series of accessories, designed to enhance the work experience while keeping the desktop workspace clear of clutter. Attachments will include desk light, cup holder, universal charging docks, speakers, paper/pen holders and snack tray.

The desk has been tested by more than 500 students, Millennials and entrepreneurs across the country and won the Wayfair.com’s Kitchen Cabinet Grand Prize Award.

The Edge was designed and created in collaboration by inventors Marc Rosenberg and Steve and Jeff Rehkemper. Combined, the three have worked on consumer product brands with global retail sales well more than a billion dollars.

Recognized as one of the most innovative inventors and marketers in the U.S. by Ad Age magazine and named one of Brandweek magazine’s “marketers for a new generation,” Rosenberg has led marketing for Tiger Electronics and Hasbro. The Rehkempers have more than 100 patents to their credit, with inventions including health, electronics and toy items.
