Seattle - Smart Kitchen Summit, a connected kitchen event focusing on the technology and design convergence that's changing how people eat, buy, store and interact with their food, will take place October 5-6 in Seattle. Now in its second year, the Smart Kitchen Summit will bring together a powerhouse line-up of startups, leaders and innovators in the food tech, smart home, housewares, kitchen design, commerce and more for an evening reception and keynote on October 5 followed by a day-long event on October 6 at the Bell Harbor International Conference Center on the Seattle waterfront.
This year, the event's thematic focus will be led by NextMarket Insights founder and chief analyst Michael Wolf, along with the Smart Kitchen Summit Advisory Council. The 2016 Smart Kitchen Summit will explore topics and themes including:
The Internet of Food and the move to corral data and intelligence from the things we eat
AI, machine learning and how it's transforming the methods and tools we use to cook and prepare food
The reinvention of the kitchen as a living and activity space within the home
Advisory council members include Sharon Franke, director of the Kitchen Appliances & Technology Lab for the Good Housekeeping Institute; Chris Young, renowned chef and founder of ChefSteps; Johnny Grey, world famous designer specializing in kitchens; J. Kenji Lopez-Alt, managing culinary director of Serious Eats and author of The Food Lab; and Nikhil Bhogal, co-founder & CTO of June.
With a successful launch event in 2015, the Smart Kitchen Summit included brands and speakers from companies like Anova, Moen, Jarden, Williams-Sonoma, National Kitchen & Bath Association, Cuisinart and Belkin. The Summit's second year will feature an even broader range of leaders from IoT and tech to housewares and appliance experts and those deeply involved in kitchen design and function.
The Smart Kitchen Summit is accepting proposals for speakers and panelists for the event; companies interested in sponsorship or speaking opportunities are invited to email info@nextmarket.co.
