TORONTO — The online registration desk for the 2016 Canadian Furniture Show has opened, and retailers booking their hotel stay over the next few weeks will automatically be entered into a drawing for two-night accommodation package.

Owned and organized by the Quebec Furniture Manufacturers Assn., the show will open at the International Centre here on Saturday, May 28, and end Monday, May 30.

To register, all CFS participants – including exhibitors, retailers, designers and others – can visit the market’s web site at canadianfurnitureshow.com and click on the ‘registration’ tile to request their badge.

According to the organizers, CFS has invested in a new online registration platform that should ease the registration process.

“For us, it’s a more reliable system,” said Nathalie Lessard, CFS communications director. “For show participants, registration will be easier and much more secure, plus it will be easier to retrieve login credentials.”

CFS has selected the Toronto-based Destination Plus to provide hotel bookings for the country’s only national furniture industry events and is offering discounts ranging from 10% to 35% at a number of hotels near the International Centre such as the Toronto Airport Marriott, the Sheraton Gateway and the Hotel Carlingview. There is a complete list of available hotels on the web site.

The organizers have also announced it will hold a drawing for 25 free two-night accommodation packages for retailers who make their hotel reservations before April 24. The winners will be announced on the opening day of CFS.

For exhibitors, CFS organizers are planning to publish one-page e-flyers where each company can feature one to four show specials. These e-flyers will also be posted on the CFS web site and will be promoted on its various social media platforms.
