CHICAGO — The second annual Outdoor Design Conference will take place at the Chicago Merchandise Mart on March 10.

The conference offers trade professionals access to the latest products and techniques for designing outdoor spaces and features product debuts, open houses in 31 permanent showrooms, CEU-credited seminars, and a keynote presentation about Chicago’s outdoor spaces.

The keynote titled “Chicago’s Great Outdoor Parks: A behind the scenes look into The 606, Chicago Riverwalk, and Maggie Daley Park” will highlight the city’s outdoors and works created in the urban setting, including Chicago’s first elevated trail, an open pedestrian waterfront, and a 20-acre public park in the Loop community.

The Design Center includes permanent showrooms dedicated to the casual furnishings industry on floors 15 and 16, with select showrooms on 14. Showroom open houses will be from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. The keynote presentation will begin at 9 a.m.
