The organiser of Autumn Fair, i2i Events Group, has revealed more of its plans for a new event, The Light Show, due to make its debut at the 2015 exhibition.

A raft of market-leading suppliers have already signed up to join The Light Show, including Dar Lighting, Searchlight, Interiors 1900, Impex Russell, TP24, Endon Lighting and Illuminati.

Major growth in Home Interiors at Autumn Fair also provides the ideal backdrop for The Light Show, which aims to attract up to 60 dedicated lighting exhibitors and as many as 6000 sector buyers. Along with independent lighting shops, this audience will be drawn from general furniture stores, category buyers at department stores, independent homeware and gift retailers, plus interior designers.

The director of Illuminati UK, Paul Carter, comments: “With the Autumn Fair date in September, this is a strong time of year for orders being written for lighting, furniture and accessories. The essential point for us regarding Autumn Fair this year is that it will for the first time incorporate The Light Show. This is the key show for the lighting industry and it is likely that as it is its first time at Autumn Fair, it will be heavily attended and very well received.

"There is a good chance this year that lighting clients may decide to leave their autumn/winter 2015 ordering until they have visited The Light Show at Autumn fair in order to view many established and new lighting brands on show all under one roof.”

The first edition of The Light Show, launched in partnership with the Lighting Industry Association (LIA), will take place from 6-9th September in hall 2 of the NEC, Birmingham, as part of parent show, Autumn Fair. The Light Show will be the only LIA-endorsed decorative lighting event taking place in the UK this year.

The LIA’s COO, Peter Hunt, comments: “The LIA and the decorative lighting industry is excited about the move to Autumn Fair this year. September is traditionally the start of the lighting season and with a steadily improving economy we expect to see a really strong offering by UK lighting suppliers.”
