‘Botera’ is a family of modular seating designed by e-ggs with one word in mind — comfort. Created for italian manufacturer miniforms, the collection features a curvy silhouette and a soft, cushiony seat that makes you want to sit down and never get back up.
Botera begins with a squishy seat module, padded with four different types of foam, that’s available in various lengths to form a sofa, a pouf, or an armchair. You can then choose between a low or high backrest and a huge range of textile finishes. In this way, botera is truly flexible as users can tailor a personal seating solution to suit the style and dimensions of their own home: from palatial living rooms to cozy nooks. Modules can also be put together to create unique arrangements for commercial settings, offering a soft, welcoming touch to offices or reception spaces.
Whether occupying home interiors or office spaces, the design aims to bring people together while optimizing both comfort and flexibility. ‘Botera is a round figure whose comfortable volumes give it an outstanding look, like a soft cloud. We wanted to transmit this feeling through the plastic expansion and dilation of forms’, says e-ggs.
