"The coat rack reminded me a bit of an antenna mast and the hallway is a place for both receiving guests and sending them away," said KANAMA founder Oliver Kanniste.

Kanniste wanted to turn an often-overlooked furniture piece into a minimalist feature in the home. The hooks are angled to hold jackets, coats and shirts so that they air out properly and don't get wrinkled.

"The way to innovate is to rethink the problem with playfulness and create the game rules on the go," added the designer.
