Deadwood handicrafts

Finding the materials that you are most comfortable with, even if they look like scraps to others, and building something truly unique with your own hands is what makes this home furnishing shop called DECOBRUC a success.

One day, a couple picked up these unassuming branches and leaves and transformed them into various shapes for display in their home, and their lives were extended...

The couple, who are not designers by any means, picked up driftwood by chance, made a few decorations and, not realising how popular they were, opened the one-of-a-kind home furnishing shop, where they do everything themselves from raw materials to design and production.

Why is furniture made from seaside driftwood? On the one hand, they say that they find driftwood that has been washed and soaked in river water to be of a special texture and a natural nostalgic colour, which they really like. In addition, they like to give new life to seemingly useless materials. Apart from driftwood, they also make furniture from discarded materials such as steel, which is not only environmentally friendly but also special.

Their design is very natural, making use of the shape of the wood itself and putting them together without any elaborate over-decorating, everything is natural. I love the design of the flying fish the most, they look so free, swimming in a sea of wood.
