Cala resin collection by Mónica Calderón Studio
This home collection explores the fusion of resins with other materials
In 1999, designers Mónica Calderón and ÚrsulaVerea founded the design studio Mónica Calderón Studio in Mexico City, specializing in polyester resin materials.
Recently, they invited many architects, designers and artists to develop the Cala resin range of furniture and household items, combining resin with marble, wood and bronze, and respecting the aesthetic and technical style of each designer.
The Cala resin collection was exhibited during the most recent Mexican design week. “For 19 years, we have been focusing on the research of resin materials and have become experts in this field to explore various possibilities, so this time we thought of integrating with other materials and finding partners to create together,” Mónica Calderón said.
