US office furniture giant Knoll's third-quarter net profit plunges 60%

According to the latest financial report from U.S. office furniture giant Knoll, the company reported net sales of $309.4 million in the third quarter, down 13.2 percent from the same period last year. Net income for the quarter was $7 million, down 60 percent year-over-year. Sales in the office furniture division were $193.2 million, down about 25 percent year-over-year. The lifestyle division, on the other hand, reported sales of $116.2 million, down 15.4 percent year-over-year. However, its sales through the online channel were up 434% year-over-year.
