Heritage Home Group has moved its Thomasville brand to its luxury brand portfolio as part of its company-wide sales realignment to better serve customers and consumers.
The 110 year-old Thomasville brand joins Hickory Chair, Pearson, Henredon, Drexel Heritage and Maitland-Smith in the luxury brand team. Known for its Bogart and Hemingway licensed lines, Thomasville recently launched the Anthony Baratta furniture collection, and will soon announce a new licensee.
Heritage Home Group said the way its sales teams are currently aligned is inconsistent with how its customers and consumers perceive and shop its brands. The new alignment will recognize and complement the unique needs of its partners based not simply on their geographic location, but also their channel of business.
“Since Heritage Home Group was formed in 2013, we have worked tirelessly to better understand the specific needs of our customers,” said Pierre de Villeméjane, president and CEO of Heritage Home Group. “The furniture industry is changing quickly and we believe that the current model of geography based sales representation will not be the most effective way to support our different customers in the long run.”
As was recently announced, Kevin Bowman will lead the sales efforts of the luxury brands team as vice president of sales, luxury brands. Under Bowman’s direction, three specialized teams have been created to support these distinctive brands and their customers. One team will support the Thomasville, Drexel Heritage, Henredon and Maitland-Smith retailers; a second team will have the same retail responsibilities for the Hickory Chair and Pearson brands; the third will be dedicated exclusively to the design and architectural trade for the entire luxury brand portfolio.
The Luxury Brands team will also include two new sales management positions: director of sales, retail and director of sales, interior design. Greg Remley has been named to the director of sales, retail position, while the person taking the other position will be announced soon, according to the company.
