June Chinese furniture exports were 34.95 billion, an increase of 18.7%
In the first half of the year, China’s foreign trade imports and exports were better than expected
The General Administration of Customs announced the cumulative import and export data for June and January-June this year. The main information related to some furniture exports is as follows (in RMB):
The export value of furniture and parts in June was 34.95 billion yuan, an increase of 18.7% from May; the cumulative export value from January to June was 157.61 billion yuan, a decrease of 8.6% from the same period in 2019 (year-on-year), and the decrease rate was narrower than that from January to May Percentage point, the situation is improving.
From January to June, the total exports of furniture, lamps, lighting fixtures and parts, ceramic products and textile products related to four industries were 841.51 billion yuan, an increase of 28.8% from the cumulative data from January to May.
Except for furniture, textile exports amounted to 521.06 billion yuan, a year-on-year increase of 32.4%. Lamps and lanterns were 97.12 billion yuan, down 3.2% year-on-year; ceramics were 65.72 billion yuan, down 12.6% year-on-year; the declines were all narrowed.
Overall, in the first half of this year, the total value of my country's imports and exports of goods trade was 14.2 trillion yuan, a year-on-year decrease of 3.2%, a decrease of 1.7 percentage points from January to May. Among them, exports were 7.7 trillion yuan, a year-on-year decrease of 3%, a decrease of 1.7 percentage points from January to May; imports were 6.5 trillion yuan, a decrease of 3.3%, a decrease of 1.9 percentage points from January to May; trade surplus 1,188.91 billion yuan.
In June, my country's foreign trade imports and exports reached 2.7 trillion yuan, up 5.1% year-on-year. Among them, exports were 1.5 trillion yuan, an increase of 4.3% year-on-year; imports were 1.2 trillion yuan, an increase of 6.2% year-on-year; the trade surplus was 328.94 billion yuan.
