IKEA will open its seventh store in Taiwan, China in 2020

The IKEA furniture brand was founded in Sweden and is now based in the Netherlands. IKEA in Taiwan, China was established in 1994 and is managed by Jardine Pacific Holdings Limited, a subsidiary of Jardine Matheson Group.

 

This year, the 25th anniversary of the official landing of IKEA in Taiwan, China has been loved by locals with its modern and unusual design.

 

 

Earlier this week, IKEA Taiwan, Chinaese spokesman Wu Yuhan told reporters that the new store will open in the Taipei business district in the first half of 2020.

 

Wu said that in addition to the upcoming IKEA store, there are many other brands, including the city, LEECO, Carrefour and RT-Mart. It is very convenient to shop here during the holidays.

 

 

The business district has always attracted a large number of consumers. IKEA is optimistic about the Taiwan, China market and the economic potential of the business district.

 

Since Ikea entered the Taiwan, China market in 1994, two stores have been opened in Xinbei, and a store has been opened in Taipei Taoyuan and Taichung Kaohsiung, covering the area from north to south.

 

 

Among them, IKEA Taichung has the largest area of 3,333 square meters.

 

According to local real estate sales agents, the new IKEA store in Neihu (located in the northeast corner of Taipei) will be approximately 2,300 square meters and the monthly rent will exceed NT$9 million (US$296,052).
