Beijing: CurveRobot with 3D Spray Painting Robot Obtained the Angel Round Financing of Millions of RMB

Located in Beijing, CurveRobot is an innovative company that combines 3D vision and industrial robotics applications, it has obtained the angel round investment of millions of RMB from Good Hope Capital. CurveRobot researched and developed the first 3D robot product used for door and window spray painting in China.
According to the report released by International Federation of Robotics (IFR), a total of 138,000 Chinese industrial robots were sold in 2017, which exceeded one third of the global sales, with the year-on-year in growth of 58%. Most industrial robots were concentrated in the automobile and 3C industries, including less than 10,000 spray painting robots accounting for only around 6%.
CurveRobot researched and developed a 3D visual robot independently, with the three characteristics as follows:
1) Equipped with 3D laser scanning system + AI knowledgeware algorithm
2) Low price; cost of 3D scanner is controlled between RMB 30,000 and RMB 50,000
3) High stability
2 – 3 spray painting workers can be replaced by CurveRobot’s one robot whose service life is around 10 years; such robots have been used for business purpose, and the clients can recover the costs of purchasing and investment within 2 years. Currently, 15 robots have been sold to the door and window, solid wood furniture and ceramic industries, and it is expected that 200 robots will be sold next year.

Founder Qian Xin had the experience of working in YASKAWA for 8 years; he started up business independently and became system integrator of YASKAWA in 2013, and organized CurveRobot group in 2016.
