Neri&Hu was shortlisted for Azure's 2016 AZ Award

Leading Canadian contemporary design magazine Azure recently concluded another successful edition of their AZ Awards.

Leading Canadian contemporary design magazine Azure recently concluded another successful edition of their AZ Awards. Claimed to be Canada's only international, multi-disciplinary design competition of its kind, the awards welcome architects, designers, manufacturers, and students from all design disciplines to send in the best of their work for a chance to win.

As expected, the AZ Awards continue to attract more competition from across the globe. The sixth edition reeled in a total of 826 submissions, which the international jury narrowed down to 66 finalists this past spring. In the end, top honors went to only 18 projects, including those by well-known practices like ZGF Architects, Shim-Sutcliffe, Neri&Hu, Lateral Office, Studio MK27, to name a few. Winners — and finalists! — were celebrated during an award ceremony in Toronto's Evergreen Brick Works.
