Redstar Macalline, a leading home improvement retail chain, in China, has recently featured a unique advertising video in the Times Square in New York City, as part of the company's efforts in promoting Chinese home furnishing culture in the world.

The 30-second video served as a trailer for an art show named "M Home - Living in Space: Redstar Macalline Art Project". Sponsored by Redstar Macalline, the show was held in UCCA, a post-modernistic exhibition center based in Beijing, during December 2, 2014 to January 6, 2015.

The month-long art show featured 12 renowned artists and designers from around the globe and was thronged by tens of thousands of visitors including Irish President Michael D Higgins and his wife Sabina Higgins. Even its trailer attracted attentions from crowds passing by the Times Square, partly because it is different from the usual commercial ads shown there.

Lingling Li, a Chinese tourist, said excitedly, "I have seen many video clips on China here at the Times Square before, but this video is particularly attractive because its overall design is very creative." She believed she will have a better understanding on the home furnishing industry if she visits the art show.

Marta, an overseas student from Brazil, also praised the video to be "really cool". "If I can go to China, I will surely want to pay a visit to the show," she said.
