One of the top online furniture retailer Linshi Muye opens a brick-and-mortar showroom in Foshan, Guangdong, which is the first step of the company’s offline-to-online strategy.

The 2000 sqm showroom is divided into 9 areas covering products such as contemporary, Northern-European, youth, Chinese traditional, French style, American style furniture as well as mattress, with the same price as online store. Visitors are encouraged to do self-service shopping by scanning the barcode.

Linshi Muye has the plan to open more showrooms in large cities such as Beijing, Shanghai, Hangzhou, Nanjing, Chongqing and Wuhan etc. In 2013, Linshi Muye ranks the highest in the furniture category of tmall.com with sales revenue of 0.16 billion yuan.
