• Designer : Hamizi Hasan (SKALA DESIGN CONSULT SDN BHD)<br /> • Manufacturer : EURO SPACE INDUSTRIES (M) SDN BHD<br /> <br /> With the vast increased of cases in this Covid-19 pandemic, it has changed the whole world in almost all aspect.<br /> The way we live, the way we work, the way we communicate, the way we learn and many other routine were changed.<br /> "The new norm" is the terminology that is now widely in practice and getting used by us.<br /> One of the new norm is "Work From Home" which also called "WFH". Most of us who normally work in office nowadays were encouraged to work from home. All the relevant works or task were done at home including meeting virtually through applications.<br /> <br /> However, WFH is also a challenge for some of us. Some are facing difficulty to stay focus to work at home due to unconducive home environment or workdesk and other external factors. There are a few aspects to be put into consideration in order to help us to be able to work from home productively as good as we work in office.<br /> <br /> One of the most important aspects is the "ideal work space". It can be achieved by creating our own "territory" which we can stay focused as optimal as we can. A good workdesk design should be able to accommodate all the needs for us to work comfortably, productively & everything is within reach. As an example a car cockpit or an airplane cockpit. Everything is within reach & fully functioning and user friendly.<br /> <br /> In this exercise, our design & production team were inspired by the new norm of WFH and we decided to design a new workdesk which is named "FLEX" which specifically designed for home usage, but with office style functionality.<br /> "FLEX" is modern look workdesk, which constructed using lightweight aluminum frame in powder coated finish, work top in compressed board in laminate finish. Fabric pad screen with leather stripes details. Come with CPU tray, drawer, and integrated power box. Each of the components expressing a unique combination of colors and texture in order to create an unconventional workdesk color palette. It creates a more cozy and "homey" look and feel to the user.<br /> <br /> Basically we can work at home with a feeling of work in the office but in casual mode.<br /> The beauty about this "Flex" workdesk is not really the look literally, it is about the flexibility of its design. This workdesk were designed to not only focus on home usage, but we also aim for commercial office usage where the design is flexible to convert from single cluster into cluster of 2 or cluster of 4.<br /> <br /> Each of the frame works and other component were specially design for flexibility and convertibility.
